1938 TRIUMPH 5T SPEED TWIN
Edward Turner’s Triumph twin was a major turning point for the British motorcycle industry, as although a 500 cc parallel twin of medium capacity was not revolutionary, the 5T Speed Twin model was lighter than many contemporary singles with significantly more power and torque. Early models were only available in ‘Amaranth red’ with hand painted gold pinstripes to set off the chrome.
A benchmark was set when a museum-quality restoration 1938 Speed Twin sold at Bonhams for £30,213 (inc. premium) but due to the present economic climate, its time to move on our pristine example of this iconic motorcycle – the forerunner of the famous Bonneville.
We have decided to make a MASSIVE PRICE DROP on the 1938 TRIUMPH 5T SPEED TWIN … FROM £24,950.00 to £16,950.00!
